Potato chips, a delicious and crispy snack loved by people all over the world. Here is a general overview of the potato chips making process,
Potato selection and preparation: The potatoes are first selected and washed to remove any dirt or debris. They are then peeled, sliced, and washed again to remove excess starch.
Blanching: The potato slices are blanched in hot water for a short period of time to remove any excess moisture and inactivate enzymes that could cause discoloration.
Frying: The blanched potato slices are fried in oil at high temperatures for a few minutes until they are golden brown and crispy. The oil is then drained off and the potato chips are sent to a seasoning station.
Seasoning: The potato chips are seasoned with various flavourings, such as salt, spices, or cheese powder. The seasoning is usually applied using a tumbler or a sprayer.
Cooling and packaging: The seasoned potato chips are then cooled and packaged in airtight bags or containers. They are often filled with nitrogen gas to extend their shelf life.
